2024 Chevy Tahoe Basics

A large SUV demands a powerful engine, and the Tahoe delivers with three choices. Its standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque and an EPA-estimated highway fuel economy of 20 MPG. An economical Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine produces 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. You can also choose the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, which churns out 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.

Although the Tahoe is a capable SUV, your comfort doesn’t take a back seat to performance. In fact, its Premium Smooth Ride Suspension keeps the cabin isolated from bumps in the road. The Tahoe is available in an 8- or 7-passenger seating configuration, with either a second-row bench seat or bucket seats. Tri-zone automatic climate control creates three separate temperature zones, so the driver, front passenger, and rear-seat passengers can all enjoy their own climate settings.

Super Cruise Technology

Available as an option on the Tahoe’s Premier and High Country trims, Super Cruise technology puts the future at your fingertips with hands-free driving on compatible roads. Super Cruise compatibility covers more roads throughout the US and Canada than any other hands-free driving technology. This technology can change lanes automatically when it detects a slower vehicle ahead. You can even use Super Cruise with a trailer, and the system will adjust your following distance accordingly.

Inside and out, the Tahoe includes standard technologies that make driving more convenient, like Rainsense automatic wipers and IntelliBeam, which can automatically switch between high and low beams when another vehicle is detected. One of its most convenient features is OnStar Remote Access, which turns your smartphone into a remote connection to your Tahoe. With an included 3-year subscription to this service, you can remotely start your engine, lock your doors, locate your vehicle on a map, and more.
